Cygnet West announces new leadership in Valuation & Advisory and strengthened Research capability
Cygnet West is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Murphy as Head of Valuation & Advisory.
This transition follows the exceptional 18‑year tenure of John Del Dosso, who has played a pivotal role in building one of the state’s most respected and high‑performing valuation practices. Cygnet West acknowledges John’s outstanding leadership, deep industry experience and significant contribution to the firm’s enduring success.
“John has guided the team through nearly two decades of sustained growth and capability building,” said Imran Mohiuddin, Chief Executive Officer at Cygnet West. “We are deeply grateful for his leadership and are now looking ahead with confidence as Chris steps into the role.”
Chris brings over 29 years of multidisciplinary valuation experience with market knowledge extending across the office, industrial, retail, retirement living, residential aged care, multi‑staged residential land estates, apartment developments, short‑stay accommodation and licensed premises sectors.
“I’m thrilled to take on this role at such a pivotal time for our industry and for Cygnet West,” said Chris Murphy. “We are proud of the strong collaborative culture within the Company, with our valuers working alongside experience property professionals from across the business within all asset classes, ensuring every assignment benefits from deep market knowledge and decades of collective experience.”
At the same time, Cygnet West has enhanced its Research division, appointing Aiden Depiazzi to lead and strengthen the firm’s independent analytical and economic capabilities.
Aiden brings more than a decade of experience as an economist, with in‑depth expertise in strategic economic analysis, industry forecasting and policy evaluation across corporate and government sectors. His leadership will accelerate the firm’s ability to provide evidence‑based, AI‑assisted insights that support smarter decision‑making for both clients and the broader Western Australian market.
Together, the Valuation, Advisory and Research teams form an integrated, data‑powered ecosystem, that enables teams to interpret market activity with greater speed and precision. This approach blends advanced platforms with the strategic thinking, negotiation skills and relationship‑driven expertise that only seasoned professionals can provide.
“These appointments position us strongly for the future,” said Imran Mohiuddin. “With Chris guiding Valuation & Advisory and Aiden leading an increasingly sophisticated research capability, we’re equipped to deliver energetic, innovative and opportunity‑focused advice powered by technology, collaboration and insight.”
As part of this exciting period of growth, Cygnet West is currently recruiting a Senior Valuer – an opportunity to join a highly regarded team that is redefining the future of property intelligence through AI, innovation and data‑led strategy.
