$6.5 million food-grade facility brokered by Cygnet West

Aged care provider Amana Living has acquired a 5,000sqm property in Wangara to house its Total Catering Solutions and Easy Meals operations, in a $6.5 million deal brokered by leading independent commercial property agency Cygnet West.

The property, located at 54 Prestige Parade, features 2,000sqm food-grade facility and when refurbished enables Amana Living to produce high-quality, nutritious meals that align with the Strengthened Quality Standards outlined in the new Aged Care Act. The facility provides a new base for its Total Catering Solutions team of 45 employees who produce up to 50,000 meals each month.

Greg O’Meara, Director of Industrial Agency at Cygnet West, said the property attracted significant interest before being secured by Amana Living.

“The property proved to be well suited for Amana Living, who can now move into a well-appointed, food-grade asset in a popular industrial precinct, which is perfectly positioned to support their continued growth,” Mr O’Meara said.

Amana Living’s CEO, Stephanie Buckland highlighted the importance of the acquisition in driving innovation and excellence in aged care dining.

“As a leading aged care provider, we know how important the food experience is for our clients,” Mrs Buckland said.

“We believe we are leading a food revolution in the aged care sector by responding to the needs and expectations of clients and the community to make the aged care dining experience a pleasure.”

Mrs Buckland said the new facility would allow Amana to continue to grow its food operations and push the boundaries of aged care cuisine.

“Food is fundamental to aged care, which is why we are investing so much in our food future,” added Mrs. Buckland.

“This is all about innovative technology, preparation, and delivery coupled with creativity, technique, and design by some of the country’s leading chefs and food technicians.

“These new premises will make anything possible.”

Located in Wangara’s thriving industrial precinct, the site offers strategic advantages for logistics and operations.

The fully operational food processing facility comes equipped with temperature control systems, in-floor drainage, and other essential food-grade infrastructure, making it an ideal fit for Amana Living’s growing needs.

The acquisition underscores the organisation’s commitment to enhancing its services for older Western Australians through innovative meal solutions, including door-to-door delivery via Easy Meals and meal preparation for its aged care facilities across Perth.
