Imran Mohiuddin

Chief Executive Officer

Professional Summary

As CEO of Cygnet West, Imran’s success in the property sector over the last three decades has been founded on a personal commitment to integrity and his ability to identify opportunities and forge effective relationships.

On January 1, 2022 Imran championed and led the successful rebrand of Cygnet West – WA’s largest, independent full-service property agency.

His extensive experience and knowledge of the West Australian property sector, along with a deeply held commitment to innovation and diversity, has played a pivotal role in shaping both highly successful business outcomes, and key aspects of the property industry in WA today – from engagement with emerging markets in South-East Asia to the development of pioneering proptech platforms used both nationally and internationally.

Over the last 30 years, Imran has been involved in the management, leasing and refurbishment of significant commercial, industrial and retail property, owned by a range of government, institutional and private investors.

In 1989, with National Mutual (now AXA), Imran gained recognition for increasing the value of the portfolio he managed, by $30 million, in a twelve-month period.

In 1997 after moving to Jones Lang LaSalle, Imran established their Property Operations, Engineering & Technology Division in Australia.  By providing strategic IT and technology solutions for Jones Lang LaSalle’s clients, this division became the largest growth area of the business at that time. The success of the group was largely predicated on its comprehensive understanding of the relationship between property asset enhancement, website builds/portals, e-procurement, and telecommunications infrastructure. These concepts were pioneered by Imran to build the Premium Management portfolio of Jones Lang Wooton (now JLL) and specifically resulted in great success for the JLL management business – which included winning of building management contracts for:

  • Central Park
  • Exchange Plaza
  • Lendlease portfolio in Australia (through the acquisition of Compass from Lend Lease)

In 2002, Imran joined Colliers and in the following year was elected to role of State Chief Executive, charged with growing the agency’s footprint and business in WA. During his time as State CEO, the number of staff in the business more than doubled, the business trebled in size and the agency added six new divisions to adapt to evolving client requirements.

On January 1, 2022, after a successful partnership spanning two decades, the franchise agreement with Colliers came to an end, the company successfully rebranded as Cygnet West and Imran became Chief Executive Officer.
